Tampa Bay History Center

Tampa, FL

We’re proud we show people of all ages a good time at the Tampa Bay History Center. Visitors sit on saddles and ride alongside whip-cracking cowmen in a modern-day cattle drive. A toy longshoreman leads them through the busy Port of Tampa. We offer them tastes of the city’s rich history and culture – and leave them hankering for a real Cuban sandwich.

"The 98-year-old in our party enjoyed getting out of the wheelchair and into the saddle.”

When visitors enter a container theater, they meet Manny, a funny, animated Playmobil® figure. As the little guy jumps between three monitors and a projection screen, he takes people on a quirky tour of the Port of Tampa.
