A Powerful Force

In this immersive experience, vivid imagery of the Great Lakes is projected on a large curved screen, dominating the main gallery. A rear-lit, topographic map dramatically illuminates the lakes at key moments in the film. At times, the entire gallery fills with lighting effects, underscoring the power and grandeur of the Great Lakes.

Dive to the Edmund Fitzgerald

Visitors investigate a famous shipwreck at the bottom of Lake Superior by navigating a virtual submersible in a 3-D underwater simulator. They explore the wreck and find beacons that trigger short videos, which give clues to the ship’s demise.
