We build 3D computer models of theaters to help clients understand what the space will look like and how the imagery will play on the surfaces.
For the unusually-shaped immersive theater on the Cold War, we took into account projection throw and lighting effects, as well as architectural pipes, beams, etc.
SCENIC DESIGN
To truly immerse visitors in the era, we created a destroyed post-WWII building interior, filled with rubble.
We project on all surfaces of the theater. On the left wall, one of the pieces of debris is in the shape of Europe, which often appears as an animated map.
PROJECTION SIMULATION
Clients review rough cuts with the video embedded in the model. They can also experience the theater using VR headsets.
THEATER INSTALLATION
During installation, we fine tune the projection mapping, and program lighting and other visual effects to ensure a visceral and dramatic experience.
